What it is
A YouTube channel made up of different series:
- Pixels, Popcorn – Videogame to Movie Adaptations
- Cult, Actually – Cult films and why they work
- Franchise, Flogged – Straight to DVD sequels
- Famous, Eventually – Early careers of actors
- Scene, Stealers – Underrated performances
Why it is
Honestly, this started as a way to make videos for The Chilli Diaries; but after buying a house that needed renovating, that wasn’t going to happen.
I’d already picked up the hardware and software, so I decided to put it to use instead.
What started as a bit of practice quickly turned into something more structured. The channel began to grow. I was enjoying it, and it became something I wanted to carry on with to see where it went.
What makes it interesting
- Focus on "because", not just criticism
- Looks for value in films most people write off
- Consistent weekly output
How I did it
- Research and scripting focused on explaining “why” things work (or don’t)
- Videos created using Vegas Pro and Movavi Movie Editor
- Audio cleaned up using Audacity
- Assets created using tools such as Leonardo and Suno
